Online Success 5000: Css And Frame Tutorial
Css And Frame Tutorial Cascading style sheets also known as CSS is another programming language that can be used in conjunction with HTML or XHTML to create unique and eye catching pages that are compatible across all browsers. To learn more about CSS and to find a Css and frame tutorial you have a few options. For one thing, you can probably find a class that will teach you all you need to know right at your local college. This can many times be the best option since it will usually allow you the most access to an instructor if you get stuck and have questions. The cost for this type of class would probably be minimal, and you may even be able to get some help paying for it, but if it allows you to start a new web development business it may be a worthwhile expense. Another equally viable option is to do a search online. You should go to your favorite search engine and do a search for the term "Css and frame tutorial" Once you do, you will no doubt have a lot of options of sites that can provide you with what you want. There are a few things you want to make sure of first, though. For one thing, most of these sites will charge a fee. Make sure you know not only the amount of the fee but also exactly what is included when you pay the fee. You also want to find a site that is geared to your existing skill level. For example, if you are a brand new beginner you will want a site that can teach you the basics first. It will be almost impossible to try to just "jump in" and pick it all up from the middle. There are different elements to CSS and you may find different sites that can teach you one or more of the elements. You may be able to greatly shorten your learning curve if you only want to learn one element, such as how to use CSS to create frames, for example. Before you choose a certain site it wouldn't be a bad idea to find one or more forums geared to programmers and ask around. See what others have used and recommend. This can be a helpful way to avoid using a site that may not be the best one at what they do. Learning how to add CSS elements to your existing knowledge of HTML or XHTML can greatly expand your options when designing a website. Whether you design for your own use or you get paid to design for others, the more extensive your knowledge the better the end result. Perfecting the various elements available to you with CSS will allow you to create really attractive and useful websites. This is especially important if you are charging others for this service. Have fun finding a good Css and frame tutorial that can teach you yet another element to improve your design practices. Get 10,000+ Proven Ways To Make Money From Home! Online Success 5000: Web Site Traffic Generation Techniques
Web Site Traffic Generation Techniques Web site traffic generation is the second major step in the whole internet marketing process. You've come up with a website or had one done for you, and now all you need to do is get traffic to that website. There are literally hundreds of ways to do this, and the right way for you will depend on the product or service you are offering, the amount of time you have, the types of traffic generation that appeal to you, and your budget. First of all, your site should be as "SEOed" (Search Engine Optimized) as possible. This insures that you will get organic traffic just from people doing normal searches on the internet. You can hire someone to do this for you, or you can take a training course on how this is done. There is also some SEO software that will help you on this aspect of web site traffic generation. The process can be complicated but in extremely general terms, SEO refers to using the right keywords in the right places on your website in an appropriate manner, and having incoming links into your website from other quality websites. If these two elements are in place, you will rank higher with the search engines, come up more in search results, and get more traffic to your site. Some free means of bringing in traffic to your site are Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or any of the other video websites, UsFreeAds, CraigsList, online forums that are related to your products, free blogging platforms like Blogger or Wordpress, safelists (depending on the product or service you offer), keyword-targeted press releases, traffic exchanges, article submission to EzineArticles and other article directories, and more. If you have some money to spend, you can invest in PPC (pay-per-click) advertising on any of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, and MSN-Bing). The good thing about this kind of advertising is that you only spend what you want to spend. You bid on certain keywords or keyword phrases and then you get charged only when someone clicks on your ad. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, make sure you choose the lower-searched keywords so that you can bid lower. You can find all the statistics on keywords in the search engine free research tools. Another paid options is Ezine advertising. Ezines are online magazines. If you can find one that is targeted towards the particular market that you are trying to reach, you can place advertisements on the newsletters that they send out to their subscribers. The most effective types of ezine ads are called "solo ads" which means that your ad goes out alone (with no other ads) and with your own email subject line, not a generic subject like "Newsletter number 20" for example. All of these methods are extremely effective web site traffic generation techniques that you can start applying right away. What Kind of Online Marketer are you? A Dabbler or a Doer? Your Answer Matters.
What Kind of Online Marketer are you? A Dabbler or a Doer? Your Answer Matters. By Sandi Hunter Every day I talk to people who are trying to earn an honest buck in an online business. These are average people who come from all walks of life, from all corners of the globe. The common goal they share is the desire to earn money online in any number of online affiliate or reseller type programs. Although the goal is the same, the approach to making this happen is always different and so too are the results. I have outlined here the marketing approaches that I observe everyday, the ones that are effective and the ones that aren't. See if you recognize yourself in any of these examples. The Dabbler. The Dabbler's marketing approach involves putting a little bit of effort into this and a little bit of effort into that. This type of marketer will post a few blogs, send a few tweets, join a safelist or two and participate in a handful of traffic exchanges. This person has a basic understanding of what is required to market their online business. The problem is they simply won't commit to rolling up their sleeves, digging in and doing what is necessary to consistently promote and build results. They are too busy talking about it, planning it, and getting organized. The Dabbler sometimes doubles as an excuse-machine. They readily offer up reasons for not having completed the necessary tasks to build their business. Or, they easily assign blame to others for their lack of success. It has always puzzled me how it is so easy to find reasons for not being successful. What about all the reasons why you CAN be successful? The Internet offers burgeoning earning opportunities! The Learner. This type of marketer is a professional online student. They read continuously, watch videos, sign up for everything to get even more details and more help. They are so busy learning, and soaking up knowledge they never actually DO anything or apply what they learn. They are never ready to START applying what they have learned. They want to study more, take it all in, buy more books, take more courses. The Internet itself, and marketing strategies are constantly evolving. You will never know every last detail about marketing and when you think you are getting close, technology will change again. Stop with the learning and start with the doing! Everyday you focus ONLY on learning, is another day you have not made a dime. Dive in, get wet, start promoting your business, products and services - now - RIGHT NOW! Yes, there is much to learn about online marketing, never stop learning but be sure to never stop MARKETING. The Sweat and Tears Syndrome This marketer is the saddest one of all. They promote with a frenzied intensity in short bursts spending hours in all the wrong places, promoting all the wrong things. They furiously tap away for hours at their keyboard "working their business" late into the night for 2, 3 days, maybe a week or more. Their blog is bursting with good key word content, they've tweeted like a mad person, they've bought leads with great promises from a sketchy vendor that seemed to good to be true. Exhausted, they pause and wait for the results. When they don't get instant results, the sweat turns to tears. Frustrated they swear, stomp, tantrum and move on to the next greatest online money-making program ever - that is in pre-launch! The insanity begins again. This type of marketer has no patience, and leaps from one program to another, with no loyalty or commitment. The Doer The DOER is the marketer that SUCCEEDS! The DOER is the one who doesn't get caught up in all the details. The DOER is a courageous beast. They blunder, make mistakes, but carry on. They understand the sheer power of the web to market products to the world and to profit from their labour. They understand that with the right products and tools they can sell anything! The web is fat with buyers. DOERS understand that you MUST have patience, and MUST work a business constantly, knowing this means consistent promotion every day. DOERS accept that there will be frustrating times, failures, and obstacles on the path to success. The DOERS I know, aren't always the people you might expect. Many of the DOERS I know are average people, with very little sales or technical background. Their gift is that they are not afraid to try, they don't give up, they dig in and work hard. There are DOERS all over the world right now marketing their products, services, and affiliate program s in all corners of the web, turning a profit each and every day. This type of marketer has tapped into the right resources, training and tools, applies them consistently, setting realistic goals carrying a positive attitude. Here is my advise to you as an online marketer on your way to success. Every single day when you wake up, set a goal for yourself. Make your goal realistic and measurable. Post your goal on your computer, date it. Initially your goal may be to simply find 5 great places to promote your business. Then your goal may evolve into actually posting your ads, product, service or opportunity to 5, then 10, 20+ sites each day. Once the promotion is is place, set goals for the number of sales each day. As your business grows never lose your focus on that goal. Don't get distracted. Remember, at the end of the day you want to actually have made money! Tweeting, face booking, article submissions, and blogging HELP your business grow but are not direct profits in your pocket. Yes, promotion, networking and Search Engine positioning is important and you should work at this but it takes time to do this. Do not let these activities overwhelm you to the point where you forget to make money! Keep your eye on the prize. Set a goal for a minimum earnings per day. Start off realistic. If you don't make that amount today, set a new goal for tomorrow. When you start making money, adjust your daily goals accordingly. For those of you who are new to online marketing you CAN make money every single day provided you have the proper tools and resources to do so and of course great products and services to promote. Just make sure you are the DOER described in this article. I close with a quote from one of my favourite DOERS, Ray Kroc, McDonald's Corporation. "Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get." About The Author: Sandi Hunter is the Director of Website Development at Worldprofit Inc., where small and home-based businesses learn how to profit online. While that is an intuitive thought, you should really first put some analysis into the traffic before you even establish your website. The reason for this is that SEO (search Engine Optimization) will be an important way for you to gain organic traffic, and if you do it the right way, you can start seeing visitors right away. SEO is comprised of two elements: relevant keywords and backlinks or, as some people refer to them, incoming links. Before you develop your website, you will need to have an idea of the keywords that you want to target and make sure that they are included in the website's content in order to get guaranteed web traffic. It's generally recommended that when you first start out, you should go for the lower-search volume keyword phrases, rather than the more competitive general terms. For example, if your business focuses on jewelry, you might want to identify a more specific keyword like "costume jewelry" or even more narrow, like "costume jewelry earings". The keywords that you will include on your website should be the exact terms that people are looking for when they do a search online. And you can find these keywords very easily by using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool which is completely free of charge. This tool gives you keywords that are relevant to your business and also provides information about how competitive the keywords are, how often they are searched for, and how much people are bidding on them for PPC ads. You want to locate the lower-searched terms that have less competition. Identify three to five that you can use early on in your website or blog. In general, each keyword should be used once in some sort of important position in your site or on your blog (like the title or page header), in the first five words of any description following the title or heading), and in the last sentence of the content. In the body of your content, it should be used no more than three percent of the time. Before you start looking for backlinks, you want to have at least five articles (of about 500 words) on your blog or at least five pages of your website. Then you can start working on obtaining backlinks. You can do this by submitting articles about your business to article directories, Squiddoo, HubPages, or article directories and linking them back to your website. Or you can comment on blogs and forums that are related to your industry, and include your link in your comments. These are just a few ways that you can get backlinks to your site. The more quality backlinks you have, the better the search engines "like" you, the higher you will be ranked in search engine results, and the more guaranteed web traffic you will obtain.

Traffic Exchanges
Using A Traffic Exchange Program To Promote Your Business http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Advertising your business website through ads and links is a common way of driving traffic to your business offer. But if you want to go a little bit further with a relatively inexpensive method, you can try participating in a traffic exchange program. Traffic exchanges are just one of the many methods of driving more traffic to your website. Here's how it works. In most cases you sign up for free (and you can upgrade at any time should you decide to do so). Many of the traffic exhanges offer you free credits to get started. Your first step is to promote the website that you are trying to get traffic to. So, you will write a short compelling text and which invites people to click on your link and then you'll post this. Next, you need to get this site circulated and in order to do that, you need to start earning credits. How do you earn credits? By clicking on the other posted advertisements in the traffic exchange program. Each time you click on an advertisment and remain there for a specified amount of time (usually around 15 seconds), you will earn credits. The more credits you earn, the more visible you will be to the other members of the site. If you don't want to spend the time surfing and don't mind spending a little money, you can either upgrade membership or buy additional credits. This way, you won't have to surf other sites to use your credits. A traffic exchange is really similar to any simple exchange of benefits. Besides exchanging traffic through the traffic exchange programs, you can also interact with other website owners. While surfing other sites, you will most likely come across sites that complement yours. At this point, you can contact the webmaster or owner of a website you're interested in and can arrange to exchange links as well, which ads to your site ranking. There is something that you do want to avoid. Do not use traffic exchanges if you have Google Adsense on the page that you are promoting on the traffic exchange. Google Adsense does not allow this. However, you can use a lead capture page in the traffic exchange which then forwards to your Google Adsense page. This is a good way to get the leads and traffic to your site. Traffic exchange is an easy way to generate more traffic to your site. This can be considered a more pro-active way of pursuing traffic, since the number of visits to your site depends on the number of websites you also browse through. If your website is new, traffic exchanges can be an extremely effective method to get traffic - it is more or less foolproof. Each Traffic exchange program differs but they all offer you the chance to make sure that traffic is getting to your site. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Review Of Traffic Exchange Programs http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Traffic exchange programs are abundant on the internet and a good way to get exposure and clicks to your website. Traffic exchanges, also called TE, work like this. They are free to join. Once you've joined, you post a short (compelling) description and link of the site you want to promote. In order to get exposure to your site you need to earn credits. The more credits you have, the more exposure you will get. You can earn credits either by clicking on the other members' sites or you can buy your credits or upgrade your membership. This article will give you a description of some of the top traffic exchanges. TrafficSwarm. This is one of the most popular traffic exchanges on the net. The quickest and easiest way to earn credits with Trafficswarm is to set your browser's "start page" to your own personal 'Surf URL' on TrafficSwarm (there are step by step instructions on how to do this and it only takes a minute). This way, every time you open your web browser to surf the Internet, you'll earn a credit. You'll also earn 1 - 1000 credits every time you visit another member's website through your start page. TrafficSwarm has the most users and visits of any other TE, and they also have an outstanding referral program. Dragonsurf is another one of the best traffic exchange programs and one of its main benefits is that it allows you to build up credits fast. The traffic exchange is owned by Soren Jordansen who has a very good reputation in this business. TrafficSplash has risen quickly to become one of the best traffic exchanges on the internet. TrafficSplash has an impressive design, the cheapest upgrades and credits you can find, and the extremley good customer service. This traffic exchange also offers many rewards that range from credits to splash points. Referal commissions for Traffic Splash are 50% which also places it in the excellent range. Included in the TrafficSplash promotion page are personalized splash pages, regular splash pages, a splash page generator, banners, rotators, sample emails and sample textlinks. Soaring4Traffic is considered an extremely effective and innovative traffic exchange with lots of unique tools and friendly customer service. The only drawbacks of this traffic exchange are that the upgrades are over-priced and the referral commissions are only 40% BlueSurf is one of the newer traffic exchanges and has actually surpassed DragonSurf in alexa rankings. This company is innovated in this respect: the home page always includes an "average surf" number. On the home page, it says "The number you see above is the average number of pages each surfer at blue-surf surfed yesterday." To promote consistent surfing -- and to reward the "average" surfer, all you have to do is surf more pages than the number above and you will get a 15 credit bonus at the end of the day. This ads up. Start out with one or all of the above traffic exchange programs to boost traffic to your site. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Get Targeted hits to your website using traffic exchange and banner exchange program. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r People who make the most website income are the people who get high traffic to their website. You drive more traffic to your site increase your website income. We will describe how to convert untargeted hits receiving from traffic exchange program to targeted hits. Quality of hits receiving from traffic exchange program is very low. But using my tips you will able to convert untargeted hits to targeted hits. My idea described below step-by-step: 1.Register best traffic exchange program 2.Register best three banner exchange program (1:1 exchange program). Banner exchange program provide targeted hits to your website. 3.Design very attractive banner for your website and upload to banner exchange program. 4.Add three banner exchange program code to your webpage 5.Earn credit using traffic exchange program and redeem it to your website. If you get 100hits to your website using traffic exchange program and redeem it to your website. If you get 100 hits your website using traffic exchange program. Each your banner exchange program earns 100credits. 6.Redeem credits earned by banner exchange program to your website. Your banner displays 300 times on other website. If your banner very attractive your website get high targeted hits. For Example: Your banner receive 20% click, your website get 60 targeted visitor using 100 credits of traffic exchange. If you earn more credits your website get more traffic. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Is There A Difference Between Manual Traffic Exchange, and Auto Surf Traffic Exchange? http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r For those of you that do not know what a traffic exchange it, is it a site that you join, and agree to view other members websites to have them view yours. This can be a great form of advertising because a real person is at the other end of the computer viewing your website, where you will be promoting your product, or service. This sounds like a great, but how do you get traffic exchanges to work for you? There are many websites that tells you to join hundreds of traffic exchanges, to get the joining bonus. Yes it sounds great, but big mistake! If you just joined to get the joining bonus that the traffic exchange offers you probably will never get it. Why? Many of the traffic exchanges require you to have surfed a required amount to get that bonus. So if you thought you were going to get away there. Your Wrong! The worse part is that if you joined to get the joining bonus, the traffic exchanges usually will not put your website into rotation until you have activated your account. So do not go out, and do that you will only be wasting your valuable time. Later on in the article I will tell you how you will be able to benefit from multiple traffic exchanges, and the proper way to do it. There are two types of traffic exchanges that you can join. Manual Surf, and Auto Surf traffic exchanges. Auto Surf is exactly what is says automatic. I know you might be thinking that this is a good thing. Wrong again. When you set up an automatic surf, you will be setting it, and going about your business. Think about it, if you wanted traffic to your website, and the other person on the other end of the computer is suppose to be viewing your website, how much people do you think will see your website using this method? Not many. Personally I stay away from automatic traffic exchanges, because they do me no good. I am not giving them a bad label; it just does not benefit me. However, there are auto surfs out there that you can join, and they will pay you to use their service. It is not much but over a period of time, it will add up. Will they pay you? Now that is another article all by itself. What I recommend that you do if you are interested in using auto surfs is to do your research, and know what you are getting into. Now we will talk about Manual Traffic Exchanges. A manual traffic exchange is when there are other people sitting behind the other end of the computer, clicking on a certain image to view the next website. There is a live person, to see your site, and not a couch potato, hanging out on the couch hoping that he will get rich off of auto surf traffic exchanges. If your site or offer is interesting enough to the viewer they will stop, and look at what you have to offer. That part is up to you. If you are interested in promoting an affiliate program the traffic exchanges it is recommended that you do not just promote your affiliate page as it is. You probably will be able to get signups, but not that many. What is recommended is that you create splash pages or landing pages. A splash page is a one-page site that teases your viewers about your product or service. The best way to get more visitors to your site with splash pages is to list the benefits that your program or product has to offer, when doing this be careful that you are not listing the features. A benefit tells the customer how the product will be able to make their life easier. Everyone wants to make things easier. With over 2,500 traffic exchange online, and new ones coming on everyday, it would be impossible to surf that many exchanges. That is why I recommend using Cyberwheelers Manual Traffic Exchange downline builder. It consist of over 40 manual surf traffic exchanges, that are put into sets that you can surf using Mozilla Firefox tabbed browser. All of this is explained at Cyberwheelers.com In my first three months of using manual traffic exchanges I was able to generate over 120,000 page views to my site, and over 72 signups. Not bad, for sitting if front of the computer for an hour each day, and clicking away. May The Traffic Force Be With You! http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Using Free Traffic Exchange http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r These days internet has emerged as both, a market and hub for marketing. Unlike the 'brick and mortar' world where large manufacturers manage to squeeze out the market bases of smaller companies, the internet provides haven like the free traffic exchange. They are extremely useful to those product and service providers who do not have the advertising budget to compete with large corporations. Free traffic exchanges can be described as opt-in-clubs, which only other manufacturers of products and services can join. By joining these exchanges, a member is obliged to look at other members' web pages. To gain membership you have to submit in your website which then goes into rotation with the hundreds and thousands of websites already registered with that particular traffic exchange. (This works best for people with high-speed internet connection.) These exchanges are generally of two types auto surf and manual. In the former, the exchange automatically keeps on flipping the pages in the web browser. In a manual exchange you need to click on a graphic or banner control to change pages. Most exchanges operate on the credit system. You gain credit by spending time (for example, 30 seconds) on a particular website. The more the number of sites you spend time on, the more your credit. However your credit gets reduced when another member visits your website. With increased credit your website goes into heavy rotation insuring a more effective and wider reach. You can easily register with these exchanges. Most just request some personal information and your URL. However, you have to be quite alert in choosing a traffic exchange that would suit your business needs. Select one with many members as this helps in getting more exposure. One factor that is conducive to an effective exchange is demography. You should insure that your business is similar to those available on the exchange. Suffice it to say that a manufacturer of handcrafted china won't get out of an exchange dominated by marketers of leather goods. The drawback of this is that in an exchange where everyone is offering similar services, you would have to work harder to insure that your site does not get lost. For beginners it is always a good idea to join a few exchanges of both auto run and manual varieties. You can survey the sites and then decide which works best for you. However, it is the manual ones which are better in the long run because the possibility of actual sales is much higher. One of the tricks of the trade is to use a multi-tab web browser. The browser continues to run several websites in multiple tabs while only one window is open for viewing. You can easily surf many exchanges at the same time in this manner. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r 2 Keys To "Manual Surf Traffic Exchange" Success http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r Do you use Manual Surf Traffic Exchanges to drive traffic to your websites or affiliate links? In case if you are a new internet marketer and do not know what is a Manual Surf Traffic Exchange, here is a short explanation: "Manual Surf Traffic Exchange is a online service, where members can show their websites to other members, by viewing (surfing) other members websites." This is a very easy way to receive traffic, especially if you have limited budget, but have time to view other websites. And if you don't want to pay your time, you can purchase traffic directly from traffic exchange programs. However, you should know that these type of traffic is "ineffective" traffic. Ineffective means the conversion rate of your product or service from traffic exchanges will be lower than other highly targeted traffic sources like PPC visitors. Note, this does not mean using traffic exchange is not profitable. This is because the cost of each traffic exchange hit is greatly cheaper than other traffic sources. And if you do it right, the ROI (Return On Investment) will be positive. Many marketers claim that Manual Surf Traffic Exchange is not useful. They are completely wrong because they missed some very important keys when using traffic exchanges. Now let me expose two of the secret keys that will turn your traffic exchange failure to success: 1. Method - Capture Leads And Do Not Sell Directly Every traffic exchange user is busy at surfing. They do not have time and intention to read your long webpage. So NEVER put your sales page. Instead, put a lead capturing page with a "Attention Grabbing Headline", "Amazing Benefits" and a "Opt In Form". Remember, your purpose is to capture email addresses and then follow up with additional sales materials. 2. Target - Webmasters Who Want Traffic Do you notice the common purpose of the traffic exchange users? Yes they are webmasters or affiliates who want to promote their own websites. Remember, these people is your target market, not kids, not elders. If you are promoting high quality advertising related product or service, then I can guarantee you will convert them to sales very well! Now it is your time to make money by using traffic exchanges! Is spending money as a Pro member of any traffic exchange program ever worth its monthly fee? If you are using a hit exchange program and are starting to wonder if you are heading in the wrong direction, then the following information may allow you to adapt your marketing strategy to fully utilize the power of traffic exchanges and find greater success. Lack of "targeted traffic" is the most common complaint heard about hit exchange programs. It is said that many hit surfers are not paying attention to other offers, but merely "clicking' for more credits. What is the easiest way to conquer this problem? Generate your own targeted traffic by engaging the surfer directly! Develop a simple, yet effective landing page that catches the surfer's attention and clearly spells out your message. The faster the page loads, the less clutter and external pages, the more likely you are to make a conversion. Not making any sales? Use this time to capture their name, not their credit card. Most Internet users are not comfortable buying a product the first time they see the offer online. Add to the fact that you have 30 seconds or less to convince them they should buy your product and it is pretty far fetched to think you will make a lot of direct sales. Gathering contact information to use in a follow up message series is the most effective use of your time in front of the surfer. Capturing leads allows you to not only promote to them on an ongoing basis but builds the trust you need to make the sale as well. Wasting too much time? Earning credits can be time consuming, but it is ultimately what makes the process effective. Break up your surfing into smaller portions. Keep one browser window open and whenever you get a minute or two, surf a few pages. It will keep earning hits from becoming monotonous and frustrating. Supplementing your surfing with a paid or Pro membership also allows you more freedom to break up the process simply because you do not need to worry about running out of credits. Offering a Replicated Website? Many hit programs members are promoting a site that replicates for each new member. Because there is no option to change the website and the competition is far greater due to sheer numbers of the same promotion, many get frustrated by their lack of success. My suggestion is to try one of the many smaller hit exchange programs available. If you break away from the few widely known traffic exchanges and enter new territory, you may find a wider variety of promotions and greater success of your website converting leads. Free traffic can be a very ineffective method of Internet marketing if you are approaching it incorrectly. Adapting your marketing strategies to target the audience is very easy to implement will allow you to see improvement in your lead conversions and future sales. Take the time today to implement these procedures and discover the true profit potential in traffic exchange programs. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/r

Tools For The Blind Community: The Socializer
The Socializer: The Ultimate Communications Tool http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/m The socializer allows you to communicate with family members, friends, fellow-students, coworkers, and other SAMNet users. You can send and receive instant messages through Microsoft's Windows Live Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, (also referred to as AIM), Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, GoogleTalk, and Jabber. But that's not all! You can send and receive both text and voice messages through Skype, as well as with any other user of the system Access Mobile Network; subject to their approval, of course. You can read and respond to messages in the Serotek Users Forum. Socializer also provides simple yet powerful access to Facebook and Twitter. No longer do you need to install and use multiple software programs, or login to multiple Web sites to communicate with family, friends, and colleagues. The socializer lets you communicate with any or all of these entities from one easy-to-use interface. Three Important Hotkeys There are three important hotkeys you should know to get the most out of the socializer. If you hear the sound that says, "Message Holding." This means someone has sent you a message. To instantly jump to the area where you can see and respond to the message, press Control+Shift+M. When someone sends you a request to add them as a contact, you may do so by pressing Control+Shift+A. Finally, if someone sends you a message, or replies to your message, and you need to have the last comment repeated, simply press the Grave Accent key. On most keyboards, this is on the far left, and just below the Escape key. Setting up Your Social Networks Before you can communicate with others using the Socializer, you first need to add the social networking accounts you'll be using. To do this, tab to the "manage " social network accounts" button from the Socializer main screen. Activate this button with the space bar to begin adding and managing your social networks. The options on this screen will change as you add your social networks, and we will discuss this screen in more depth later in the document. For the moment, begin adding social networks by tabbing to the dropdown list labeled "add an account". Open the dropdown list with modifier+down arrow, and choose the account type you'd like to add. Note that you can use first-letter navigation, such as pressing Y to jump directly to Yahoo Instant Messenger account, from within this dropdown. Once you've done that, tab through the dialog, entering user name and password in the appropriate fields. Finally, tab to the "add" button and activate it to complete the process. Socializer Preferences As you begin to use the Socializer, you may wish to make changes in how the software behaves. You can do this by editing the Socializer preferences. To do this, open preferences by activating the "preferences" button from the Socializer main screen, or by pressing modifier+f, followed by the letter p. Next, locate Socializer preferences by using your tab or arrow keys. Press enter on it to open the Socializer preferences window. The first checkbox in this window determines whether you are alerted when a contact signs in. If you want to hear this information, check the checkbox. Otherwise, uncheck the box. Note that you'll still be able to tell which of your contacts is online by looking at your contacts list. The second checkbox determines whether you are alerted when a contact signs out. The next checkbox determines whether you sign in to your social network accounts automatically each time you launch SAMNet. If you choose to uncheck this box, just launch the Socializer and choose the "sign in" option when you're ready to sign in. The last checkbox allows you to place the name of the person sending a tweet after the tweet itself. By default, the sender of the tweet appears before the tweeted message. Account-specific preferences The Socializer allows you to make changes in the behavior of each of your instant messaging accounts individually. In this way, you could for example choose not to sign in automatically when the Socializer starts, but could change your Yahoo account to sign in even when your other accounts do not. to change account-specific preferences, open the "manage social networking accounts" window from the Socializer main screen. Next, choose the account you want to manage from the dropdown list. Then tab to the "modify account preferences" button. From here, you can modify each option to suit your needs. You can choose to use the setting from your main Socializer preferences, or you can select the specific behavior you want. For example, if you want your Yahoo account to sign in automatically but don't want any other account to do so, simply modify main Socializer preferences to not sign in automatically. Then open account-specific preferences for Yahoo Instant Messenger, tab to the dropdown for logging in automatically, and select "yes" from the dropdown list. The Socializer Main ScreenAccomplishing Basic Tasks the main screen allows you to do the following: First you will see a list of your contacts. when you run this program for the first time, this list will be empty until you add accounts from Messenger services such as AIM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo, or you add other SAMNet users.. To begin chatting, find the person with whom you wish to chat in the contacts list and press enter to open a chat window. Type what you want to say, and then press Enter. Or, you may tab once to the Chat button. Press this to send a message to the contact you have highlighted in your list. For some contacts, specifically SAMNet and Skype contacts, you'll see a "call" button as you tab through your options. This button appears just after the "chat" button. Activate this button to initiate a voice conversation with your contact. Next is the "remove" button, which allows you to delete any contact with whom you no longer wish to communicate. Press Enter on this button and you will be prompted to press Alt+Y if Yes, you wish to remove this contact, or Alt+N for No, I don't want to remove the contact. The Block button allows you to block specific people from seeing whether or not you are online, or block their ability to send you messages. The Remove Block button allows you to unblock a person so they can now see that you are online, and have the ability to send you an instant message. The Status dropdown list allows you to choose one of five statuses to present to other users. They are: Online, Free to Chat, Do Not Disturb, Away, or Not Available. Make your choice, tab once to the Change Status button, and press Enter. You will be told that your status has been changed. Press Enter again to continue. Note that this will change your status for all of the social networks you have added. Adding Contacts The "add contact" button allows you to add a contact. Press Enter on this option, choose the type of contact you want to add, then follow the instructions. For example, if you choose to add a SAMNet contact, the Socializer will prompt you for an account number, username, or SAMNet email address. If you choose to add a Windows Live contact, the Socializer will prompt you for a Windows Live ID. Also, you do not need a GoogleTalk account to add GoogleTalk contacts; your GoogleTalk contacts will see your SAMNet email address. When adding a Skype contact, you can search by full name, or by entering the person's Skype name if you know it. If you are searching by full name, a listbox will appear, showing you each result for that person's name, along with location data if available. Choose from this list, and then choose the "add" button to send your request. Managing Social Network Accounts The "manage social networks" button opens a screen where you can add new social network accounts, and manage the ones you've already added. The first thing you'll encounter on this screen is a list of accounts you've already added. As you arrow through the list, the name of the social network is spoken, along with your login status on that social network. Once you've chosen a social network from the list, you can tab to the status dropdown to change your status on that social network. On the Socializer main screen, you can set your current status for all your social network accounts, but on this screen you can manage them individually. Simply open the dropdown list and choose the status you want for the selected network. With the "signout" button, you can sign out of a social network entirely, while leaving the others signed in. The "remove account" button will remove the currently selected social network account. You might want to do this if you no longer use a particular social network, or if you've changed the login details for that social network and want to add the account again. Finally, the "add account" button allows you to add a new social network account. When you activate this button, you'll next see a dropdown list to choose the type of social network account you want to add. Note that you can use first-letter navigation, i.e. pressing the letter S to jump to Skype account, in this list. Select the desired social network, then tab to enter your user name and password in the fields provided. When you're ready to proceed, activate the "add" button. The Socializer supports adding multiple accounts for each social networking service. For example, you can add a second skype account if you have one for work and one for home. The first account you add will be labeled "Skype1", and the second acc ount will be labeled "Skype 2", and so on. Communicating with Skype Just as with any other social networking service, you can add Skype accounts to the Socializer. When adding your account, please use the credentials you used when you initially created your Skype account. Although Microsoft and Skype have now merged, allowing you to use your Windows Live credentials to log in to Skype, you'll need to use your original skype credentials in order for this service to work properly. Once your Skype account has been set up successfully, you're ready to communicate with your Skype contacts. In addition to being able to chat via text with your Skype contacts, you can chat by voice with them as well. This feature in the Socializer will use the Windows sound devices you have set as default for recording and playing sounds. To begin chatting by voice with a Skype contact, choose the contact from the Socializer main screen and tab to the "call" button. Upon doing this, the call will be initiated, and a window will appear allowing you to chat via text with your Skype contact, as well as perform certain actions during a call. These include the "hangup" button for ending the call, and the "add another person" button for bringing another person in to the call. If one of your Skype contacts initiates a call with you, a similar window will appear, with buttons allowing you to ignore the call, or answer it. There are three important hot keys for dealing with skype calls. These hot keys are global, meaning that they can be pressed even if you aren't in a Socializer window. Control+shift+a will answer an incoming call. Control+shift+i will ignore an incoming call, and control+shift+h will hang up a call. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/m Using Facebook Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites, and is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. However, its interface is constantly changing, and it can be frustrating to keep up with the changes. With the Socializer, you can use Facebook's services from a consistent and easy-to-use interface. Note that while the socializer does support most of Facebook services, you will still need to use the Facebook site itself to send or accept friend requests, and to respond to private messages. You'll also need to use the Facebook site directly if you administer another page aside from your own feed, such as a fan page. Additionally, you'll use the Facebook site itself for managing groups, sending event invites, and so on. Before you can begin to use Facebook, you must first create a Facebook account at http://www.facebook.com Facebook chat works like any other instant messaging service on the Socializer. Once you've added your Facebook account, just find the contact you wish to chat with, press enter on that contact, and begin typing. Facebook allows much more than chatting. You can post a status to your Facebook wall for other users to see, view, like and comment on the statuses of other users, and browse the wall of another user in your Facebook friends list. To take advantage of these features, first choose the "Facebook" link from the Socializer main screen. On this screen, you will first see the contents of your main Facebook feed, presented in a list box. This feed is a list of statuses, photos, links and other information that has been posted by your Facebook friends. Use the up or down arrow keys to move through the list. Initially, the list displays 20 items from your feed, but will automatically increase the number of items displayed as you move down the list. When an item is highlighted in the list, you will have a number of options, depending on the content of the item. The "open" button allows you to view the content posted, as well as any comments that have been made on the post. You'll use the "open" button if you wish to comment on the post. Once the feed item is open, you can read its content, as well as other comments that have been posted. After each comment is a reply button, allowing you to reply to that comment in particular. Once you've reached the end of the comments, you'll find an edit box to post your own comment on the feed you're viewing. Comments can be up to 420 characters. The "open link" button will open a link, if one has been posted as part of the status. The "like" button allows you to like the currently focused status. Once you activate the "like" button, an "unlike" button will take its place. Choose this button if you've changed your mind about liking the status. The "go to friend's wall" button will allow you to display a list of posts on your friend's wall. Just as you are able to view items on your own wall, or timeline, this button allows you to do this for your friend's wall. Last, you'll find an edit box for posting a status. In this edit box, you can type a status which will be displayed to your Facebook friends when posted. When you're done composing your status and want to post, tab to the "post" button and activate it. Note that even if you are focused on a friend's status in your feed list, the edit box for posting a status is only for posting a status on your own wall. http://kevinsonlinemarketing.com/yourls/m Using Twitter One of the most popular social networking sites is Twitter, which allows you to share information and engage in conversation with friends, family, and businesses with a social media presence. You can use up to 140 characters to post your own status, publicly reply to others, and send private messages, also called direct messages, which are not seen by the public. To use Twitter, you'll need to create an account at http://www.twitter.com Once you've created your account, you must add it to the Socializer. Choose the "manage social networking accounts" from the Socializer main screen, then choose Twitter from the "add an account" dropdown list. At this point, you'll be prompted to enter your Twitter credentials in order to authorize Socializer to access your Twitter feed. Now that you've added your account, begin using it by choosing the link corresponding to your account from the Socializer main screen. The home timeline Your home timeline is the place where you'll see posts from the Twitter users you follow. The Socializer automatically places focus in this list box when you open the Twitter screen associated with your account. As with Facebook, this list will initially contain 20 posts, but will add posts automatically as you scroll down the list. to send a post to Twitter, tab through the options until you find an edit box labeled "tweet". This box also informs you of the number of characters available to you. As you begin typing your tweet, this number will decrease, and will reach 0 when you have typed 140 characters which is the maximum length allowed for a Twitter status. When you've completed your tweet, press enter to post it, or tab to the "tweet" button and activate it. As you read your home timeline, you may find posts that you want to comment on, or links within posts that you want to open. All these things are possible with the Socializer. To open a feed item, where you can reply to the poster, open a link in the post and so on, simply press enter on the feed item, or tab to the "open" button. Here, you'll be able to follow or unfollow users mentioned in the post, open a link contained in a post, retweet the item so your followers can see it, and more. If you wish to reply to the user who posted the item, just tab to the edit box labeled "reply", and begin typing your message. Note that the Socializer will include the person's user name by default, so you don't have to type @username before your reply. You'll also be notified of how many characters are available for your reply. As you continue typing, this number decreases. When you're done typing your reply, press enter, or tab to the "post reply" button. Many of the options available when you open a feed item are also available just by highlighting a Twitter post in your home timeline, and pressing the tab key to review options. these include retweeting, opening a link, following or unfollowing a user, and looking at a user's timeline. Mentions, retweets, and more In addition to viewing your home timeline, you can view posts directed to you publicly, called mentions. You can view tweets you have previously posted that have been retweeted by others. You can also view your own timeline of sent tweets. You'll find these options by moving to the top of the Socializer main screen with control+home, and then tabbing through the options. Direct Messages In addition to tweeting publicly, you can send and receive private messages that do not show up on anyone's public timeline. These are called direct messages. You can engage in direct messaging in a couple of different ways. The first is by choosing the "direct messages I've received" link from the Socializer main screen. Here you'll see a list of direct messages you've received. When focused on one of these, you'll see a button allowing you to send a direct message to the current user. You can also find this button in the tab order when viewing any other timeline, including your home or mentions timeline. Alternatively, you can find the person you'd like to send a direct message to by using the "browse list of friends" button from the Twitter main screen. When you've highlighted the proper recipient, tab to the "send direct message" button. In many cases, direct messages on Twitter can become much like an instant message conversation, although there is a 140 character limit for each message. For this reason, whenever you are signed in to your Twitter account with the Socializer, an instant message window will launch if you receive a direct message. To respond to the conversation, first open the conversation window with control+shift+m. Now, from within the conversation window, you can send your direct message by typing in the edit box. You'll be alerted by a sound that you've typed too many characters, and can then erase the number of characters necessary to make your message 140 characters. You can also use the up arrow key to move past the edit box to either review the previously sent message, or to view the number of characters you have remaining in the current message. The Users Forum - The Place for Questions and Answers The SAMNet Community Users forum is where many users ask and answer questions on a variety of Serotek-related topics.
